1977
Allied Tooling began as a small, family-run business in the 1970s—around 1977—focused on traditional craftsmanship. This early period set the foundation for a reputation based on quality and innovation in tooling and saw blade services.

1983
The company’s formal incorporation is recorded on 20 April 1983 under the name SAWRITE (SOUTHWESTERN) LIMITED. It later rebranded to ALLIED SAW SERVICES LIMITED in 1988 before adopting its current name, ALLIED (TOOLING) LTD, in 1994. These changes marked its evolution from a niche service provider into a broader engineering and tooling specialist.

1990
During the 1990s, Allied Tooling began investing in cutting‐edge machinery—such as their first Vollmer machine—to enhance their manufacturing and servicing capabilities. This marked a pivotal shift from manual processes to advanced, automated production methods, ensuring higher precision and efficiency.

2010
Over recent decades, Allied Tooling expanded its product range and market reach. A major milestone was becoming the exclusive UK dealer for AKE saw blades, which complemented their growing portfolio of TCT saw blades, PCD round tools, and diamond tooling. Long-term supply contracts with renowned companies (like Princess Yachts and Wren Kitchens) further cemented their reputation.

2020
In the last several years, the company has embraced digital and automation technologies. Investments in state-of-the-art CNC robotic loading facilities, multiple Vollmer erosion machines, and lights-out production systems have reduced lead times dramatically while doubling turnover—demonstrating Allied’s commitment to innovation and sustainable growth.
